About the position

The Chemical Production Engineer position is a direct hire opportunity with a major, established, and global company located in Charleston, WV. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, developing, and enhancing manufacturing processes by studying both product and manufacturing methods. Responsibilities

  • Detect problems and situations that require deviation from normal procedures and implement corrective actions.
  • Interpret and/or analyze data, and draw conclusions based on the data.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures, daily instructions and other written communications.
  • Interpret and/or analyze data, and draw conclusions based on the data, including standard operating conditions as well as historical and trended data.
  • Conduct Process Hazards Analyses (PHA).

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in chemical manufacturing or petrol/refinement.
  • Batch/Semi continuous operation with distillation experience is a plus.
  • Resins / Coating experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or 10 years' experience in a chemical plant environment.
