About the position

The Chemical Sales Engineer role at Actalent involves supporting customers with product sizing and selection based on application-specific data. The position requires preparing technical and commercial proposals, managing sales activities for key accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. The role also includes periodic travel for customer site assessments and trade shows, along with acting as a Project Manager for engineering bids and orders.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers with sizing and selection of products and engineered solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals for customers.
  • Manage sales activity for assigned key accounts.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers.
  • Work on key account-related statistics and develop these.
  • Handle quotes and supporting documentation, following up with customers.
  • Provide after-sales communication and support.
  • Act as a Project Manager on engineering bid packages/orders, overseeing projects from start to end.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with product quality and delivery time.
  • Familiarize with relevant Safety and Design standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in inside sales.
  • Strong technical knowledge of chemical engineering principles.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ISO, API 2000, API 2521, NFPA 68, 69, 30, and 497 standards.
  • Previous experience in a sales engineer role.
