About the position

The Chemical Sales Support role is designed to provide essential sales and marketing support to the commercial team and independent sales representatives. This position involves various tasks such as pricing and margin analysis, forecasting, and managing customer service operations. The role is hybrid, requiring three days of onsite work in Pittsburgh and two days of remote work, making it suitable for candidates who can balance both environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide sales and marketing support to the commercial team and independent sales reps, including pricing and margin analysis, forecasting, and target pipeline analysis.
  • Support the sales team on day-to-day customer services or sales operations, including LCM/NDA management, technical document inquiries, order follow-ups, sample arrangements, and payment tracking.
  • Lead catcher, lead vetting, initial quoting, and updates in C4C.
  • Support the commercial team on opportunity management, including tracking and reporting as needed.
  • Responsible for SAP tasks, including data mapping, new material/customer setups, and corresponding approval processes for the sales team in systems or SF platforms.
  • Manage small volume long tail inside accounts and transactional accounts, supporting account managers in monitoring and incubating the growth of small new accounts.
  • Assist with MarComm logistics as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or science.
  • Proficiency in digital platforms and business software is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
