About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Avera Medical Group is responsible for overseeing the operational leadership and performance of the medical group operations. This role focuses on strategic planning, program development, and ensuring quality and financial performance within the organization. The CAO will work within a multidisciplinary team to advance Avera's mission of improving health care for communities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic plan and new program development for Avera Medical Group.
  • Accountable for operational leadership and performance of Avera Health's medical group operations.
  • Ensure continued improvement in quality, operational/cost effectiveness, and financial performance.
  • Interview, hire, develop, train, and retain employees.
  • Plan, assign, and lead work; appraise performance; reward and coach employees; address complaints and resolve problems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
  • 10 years of progressively responsible experience in clinic operations.
  • Demonstrated management experience required.
  • Engagement in leadership and growth opportunities required.
