About the position

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at the U.S. Secret Service will lead the Office of Enterprise Readiness, overseeing supply inventory, facilities, and property management operations. This executive role involves strategic management, program planning, and ensuring efficient administrative support for the agency's operations. The CAO will serve as a key advisor to senior management, addressing challenges that impact the agency's investigative and protective functions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee program planning activities for real and personal property, vehicle fleet management, integrated supply logistics and warehousing, space utilization and sustainability, and centralized procurement activities.
  • Promote the development of alternative solutions to problems arising from changes in work situations that impact administrative program operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate overall program effectiveness to ensure efficient accomplishment of objectives.
  • Represent leadership in administrative communications with internal partners and other federal agencies, defining objectives and priorities.
  • Develop and maintain liaison with officials from other federal, state, and local agencies, as well as the private sector and professional associations.
  • Participate in policy development or revision activities, ensuring accurate policy interpretations by subordinate officials.
  • Direct short and long-range program plans, oversee budget development, and conduct evaluations of organizational goals and staffing requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance.
  • Experience in executive leadership and supervisory roles indicative of senior executive level management capability.
  • Experience supervising employees through subordinate supervisors and hiring, developing, and evaluating employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct the work of an organizational unit and ensure the success of major programs or projects.
