About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Vice President of Administrative Services at Temple College is responsible for overseeing the financial and administrative functions of the institution. This role includes managing financial policies, accounting, contracts, and funding operations, as well as providing leadership for support services such as facilities management and human resources. The CFO plays a critical role in institutional planning and compliance with financial regulations, ensuring that the College's operations align with its mission and strategic goals.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and carry out duties consistent with the College's Value Statements.
  • Establish financial policies and transactional standards in compliance with regulations.
  • Review and analyze major contractual obligations to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Provide leadership and direction to departments reporting to this position.
  • Direct activities related to the security and investment of the College's assets.
  • Participate in institutional planning and policy development with the President and other administrators.
  • Manage the College's Physical Plant and facilities planning.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of a comprehensive Master Plan for institutional facilities.
  • Provide oversight of outsourced services including student housing and security.
  • Oversee preparation of business plans and College budget documents.
  • Establish and maintain an effective organizational structure and staffing.
  • Initiate contacts and maintain relationships with external organizations and educational institutions.
  • Promote grant applications for funding of grant programs.
  • Oversee the development and evaluation of staff.
  • Administer support services including safety and security procedures.

Requirements

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Bachelor's degree with a current Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Seven years of full-time business, finance, administrative, or accounting experience in relevant sectors.
