About the position

Our client is an IT consulting firm that specializes in the Financial Services marketplace, including sectors such as Payments, Mortgages & Lending, and Capital Markets, which encompasses Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Real Estate, and Wealth & Asset Management. With a workforce of over 2,000 employees globally, they are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead their operations from their Portland, Oregon office. This position is critical for the firm as it aims to enhance its financial strategies and operational efficiency in a competitive market. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving the financial planning and analysis processes. The role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $200K to $300K, along with performance-based bonuses. The ideal candidate will possess a strong financial acumen and a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. They will have a proven track record of at least 15 years in senior finance leadership roles, preferably as a CFO or VP of Finance, within the technology consulting and IT services industry. The CFO will also be expected to lead M&A transactions, manage comprehensive ERP transitions, and work effectively across multiple time zones and currencies. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive financial performance and create shareholder value while inspiring and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations of the company and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Manage M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
  • Lead and manage comprehensive ERP transitions, including planning, implementation, and optimization phases.
  • Work with foreign currencies and manage financial operations across multiple time zones.
  • Drive financial performance and create shareholder value through strategic financial initiatives.
  • Inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or CPA strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience (15+ years) in a senior finance leadership role, as a CFO or VP of Finance, within the technology consulting and IT services industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Experience leading M&A transactions, including due diligence, valuation, and integration.
  • Experience working with foreign currencies and multiple time zones.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing comprehensive Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transitions.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Netsuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.
  • Experience working for a rapidly scaling company with revenues of $60 million and up.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
