The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays a pivotal role in the financial management and strategic direction of the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Accounting Department, which includes Accounts Payable, Payroll, and general Accounting functions. The CFO will ensure that all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and verified, focusing on both revenue and expense management. This includes analyzing variances, establishing benchmarks, and compiling relevant statistics to inform decision-making processes. In addition to managing the accounting functions, the CFO is tasked with the preparation of the hospital's budget, ensuring that it aligns with the organization's strategic goals. The CFO will also be responsible for generating regulatory reports, as well as monthly and annual financial reports that provide insights into the financial health of the organization. These reports are critical for maintaining transparency and accountability within the organization and to external stakeholders. The CFO will report on the financial health of the organization to other members of the Senior Leadership team and will also communicate key financial information to the designated member of Finance for the Board of Directors. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate complex financial landscapes and provide guidance on financial planning and risk management.
