About the position

GEICO is hiring a Chief of Staff to work in close collaboration and partnership with the Chief People Officer, Karyn Stetz. As a strategic partner to the Chief People Officer and the People leadership team, you will play a key role in driving the People agenda at GEICO during a period of exciting growth and transformation. You will be responsible for running high visibility projects, ranging from operational efficiency, change management, analytic deep dives, team off-sites, and annual planning. You will be the ‘go-to’ person on the People team, managing and triaging the workflow, prioritizing, delegating, and completing work. Your role will enable the team to prioritize and get after what is the most impactful for our internal customers and identifying any roadblocks that might get in the way. You will ensure the team is a smoothly running engine, with team wellness and high engagement at the core, enabling healthy team collaboration, efficient project management, robust data and reporting, and effective stakeholder communication. You will operate at a strategic level on all things relating to our Leadership Team, ensuring we fully leverage our internal team, and delivering a best-in-class experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 10+ years of People or program management experience, preferably including experience as a Chief of Staff.
  • Experience working strategically and collaboratively across multiple functions.
  • Analytic prowess and ability to support decisions with data.
  • Comfort making decisions and turning strategy into executable plans.
  • Experience in diagnosing pain points for teams.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task and get things done efficiently.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to smooth out collaboration.
