About the position

The Chief of Staff to the CEO will work directly with the CEO and the senior executive team as a critical integrator, executor, and strategic partner, focused on driving key initiatives and alignment between the CEO's vision and priorities. This strategic leader will have the challenging and exciting responsibility of working with the CEO to maintain a big-picture view of the organization and its long-term impact, while also having the attention to detail and energy to drive execution. In partnership with the Executive Assistant to the CEO, the Chief of Staff will ensure the CEO's time is strategically directed to the highest impact issues and the CEO is appropriately briefed on the most important issues. The Chief of Staff may also be asked to represent the CEO at internal and external meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO and the senior executive team to shape and drive execution of strategic priorities; serve as a connector between the CEO and the senior team, facilitating information flow and decision-making.
  • Own and execute high-impact projects, ensuring alignment and accountability across teams.
  • Proactively identify and prioritize key issues, providing solutions and helping the CEO 'see around the corner.'
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the CEO and the senior executive team on a wide range of issues; provide the CEO with data-driven insights, reports and recommendations to facilitate informed decision making on critical topics.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders to advance the CEO's agenda and organizational goals.
  • Assist the CEO in managing high-stakes situations, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on the organization.
  • Provide oversight and coordination around internal and external CEO messaging, working closely with Corporate Communications, Human Resources, and other key partners.
  • Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and communications on behalf of the CEO.
  • Represent the CEO in key meetings and decision-making forums as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in business, health care administration, finance, or related fields a plus.
  • Relevant industry leadership experience in managed care, government programs, pharmacy benefit management, and/or behavioral health programs.
  • Previous healthcare consulting experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate a complex portfolio of projects and initiatives.
  • Familiarity with translating high-level organizational goals into actionable plans and ensuring follow-through.
  • Ability to research, compile and synthesize complex and/or large quantities of data into executive briefing documents.
  • Experience in streamlining and maintaining operational systems, including organizing meetings, tracking deliverables, and driving accountability across teams.
  • A track record of anticipating challenges and implementing proactive solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and communications with the highest level of discretion.
