About the position

With over 100 million chats per month from our 100,000 daily users, Chai has quickly established itself as the fastest growing AI startup in Palo Alto. Born in 2021 through bootstrapping and perseverance, our app has proven itself as both thoroughly successful and highly profitable. Harnessing the power of generative AI, Chai provides engaging, lifelike, and dynamic conversations to its 4 million users. Our recent successes have allowed us to look to the future, in which we hope to quadruple in size over the next 18 months, bringing our team from 12 to 50 people. We are now seeking a Chief of Staff to streamline this process and help us to continue our commitment to providing breakthrough services in this new technological landscape.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the CEO, establish operating cadence, and ensure plans and targets are communicated effectively.
• Solve operational problems autonomously; organize payroll, legal structure, and expenses.
• Run hiring processes, references, etc.
• Corroborate the business structure.

Requirements

• Be highly goal oriented.
• Be experienced in scaling small teams. You have seen teams grow from 10 to 50 people at least once and understand how to achieve this efficiently and effectively.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• Be self-reflective and constantly prioritize self-growth.
