About the position

As Chief of Staff to the CEO at Magic, you will play a pivotal role in the company's growth and development. This position involves contributing to various aspects of company building, including launching the first product and scaling the team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations, recruiting, or finance within a startup environment, along with a background in computer science or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Build systems and processes around key business needs like hiring plans, R&D investment budgets, and product telemetry.
• Create, own, and manage execution plans across strategic initiatives such as monetization, external partnerships, and product launches.
• Manage external stakeholders including partners, consultants, and the press.
• Identify key functional or process gaps and develop systems to address them.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience working at a VC fund or in operations, recruiting, or finance at a startup.
• Background in Computer Science or experience as an engineer.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems with data-driven thinking.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in AI technologies and a willingness to learn about the latest advancements.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
