About the position

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Vice President of Operations (VP) is a key member of the executive team responsible for overseeing the company's operations strategy, ensuring compliance with laws, and maintaining profitability and growth. The COO will lead various departments, manage budgets, and develop talent within the organization while collaborating closely with the CEO and other executives to achieve strategic goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day business unit operations, including IT, physical resources, and human resources.
• Manage staff to ensure efficient operations aligned with strategic goals.
• Direct initiatives and implement company-wide plans.
• Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.
• Monitor performance to identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
• Responsible for budgeting across multiple projects and ensuring financial efficiency.
• Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities.
• Work closely with Accounting and Finance to refine company policies and procedures.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to enhance the company's competitive position.
• Identify, train, and develop leaders within the company.
• Prepare and present reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
• Represent the company at external and internal events.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, operations management, accounting, Tribal Nation Building, or a relevant field.
• At least four years of business management experience.
• Experience with Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility.

Nice-to-haves

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or a relevant graduate field.
• At least six years of business management experience.
