Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the implementation of the company's overall technology strategy, inclusive of engineering, architecture, IT, infrastructure, analytics, etc.
• Drive innovation and technological advancements to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Utilize lean methodologies to tie investments to the business value drivers and success metrics across the business.
• Lead efforts to use digital technologies in new, secure, and innovative ways, including the use of artificial intelligence (AI).
• Develop and manage the technology budget.
• Lead and manage the technology department(s), effectively utilizing resources and fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Promote and oversee strategic and collaborative relationships across the enterprise.
• Continue driving the team towards Agile-Lean methodologies.
• Oversee the design and development of scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
• Ensure the highest level of security for all systems, applications, and data.
• Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
• Proactively identify potential risks related to technology, infrastructure, and data security.
• Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the company’s technology products and services.
• Partner collaboratively with Vetsource and Mars senior leadership to ensure technology initiatives support business strategy.
• Serve as a conduit to key strategic partners, fostering effective technology collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent related work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a senior technology leadership role, with at least 5 years as a CTO or VP of Engineering or similar technology role.
• Proven track record of leading high-performing technology teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in designing scalable systems architecture, managing cloud infrastructure, and working with large-scale data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data privacy regulations, and compliance.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to drive digital transformation initiatives that align with business goals.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience in leading, developing, and managing multiple departments in a SaaS company.
