About the position

This role is a unique blend of half office-based, outpatient psychotherapy and half group work. Psychotherapists at Lorenz function in applied roles, delivering assessment and intervention to clients of all types. Clinicians are free to function within their own areas of competence, specialty, or expertise. Our clinics are embedded on Main Street in communities with traditionally stark access disparities. Our client census is 43% Medicaid, and we have a sliding fee schedule that goes to zero. Our no-show rate is under 10%. We maintain a rich consultation and continued professional development schedule, as they are key to our committee-run, evidence-based Wellness Roadmap. In this role, you’ll provide intensive group psychological services to children ages 7-13. Key job duties include but are not limited to providing psychological services including conducting diagnostic assessments, treatment planning, psychotherapy, and discharge planning for patients of the clinic. Attending and participating in regular case consultation, Grand Rounds, team meetings, and other meetings as required.

Requirements

  • A master’s or doctoral degree in a mental health profession from an accredited academic program.
  • Full, independent, unrestricted licensure as a mental health professional in Minnesota (LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC).
  • Prior experience in children's day treatment or intensive groups (preferred).
  • Competence providing intensive group therapy to children ages 7-13.
  • At least 2 years providing clinical supervision (preferred).
  • Formal training in child or family therapy (preferred).
