About the position
Reclamation is seeking a career professional looking for an opportunity to capitalize on their expertise as a Civil Engineer. Make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. The selectee will serve as an experienced engineer, providing civil engineering mentorship and expertise for various complex projects and activities throughout the office. These projects typically span multiple geographic locations, involve complex features, and address unusual needs or special demands. The role will encompass one or more specialties, including hydraulic, hydrologic, geotechnical, structural, highway, and construction management.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine engineering analysis assignments associated with technical planning activities.
- Participates in engineering studies, evaluations, design and/or modifications of new or existing structures.
- Provides engineering support in connection with regulatory program oversight, policy, review of regulatory compliance issues, and resolution of engineering related issues.
- Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative, a Grants Officer's Technical Representative, and/or an Awarding Official Technical Representative.
- Plan and conduct engineering studies or evaluations such as preliminary, appraisal, feasibility, final design, and value planning/value engineering.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National.
- Must be suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
- Must submit a resume and supporting documentation.
- Must meet any minimum education and/or experience requirements.
- Must submit transcript(s) to verify education requirements.
- Must maintain a valid State Driver's License at all times.
- A current valid Professional Engineering (P.E.) license for GS-12 grade level is required.
