About the position
This position is a federal role located in Claremore, OK, and is open for applications from June 24, 2024, to June 23, 2025. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the position. This includes both paid and unpaid experience, such as volunteer work through National Service programs like the Peace Corps or AmeriCorps, as well as other professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, or social organizations. Applicants will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time work. It is essential to clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held, along with the total number of hours worked per week.
Responsibilities
- Select surgical supplies and instruments for surgical cases as needed.
- Set up surgical suites as indicated by surgical case.
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field of the operating room using the principles of aseptic technique.
Requirements
- At least one (1) year of specialized experience selecting surgical supplies and instruments for surgical cases.
- Experience in setting up surgical suites as indicated by surgical case.
- Experience in preparing and maintaining the sterile field of the operating room using aseptic techniques.
- One year (18 semester hours) of graduate education in nursing or a related field may substitute for experience.
- A combination of graduate education and specialized experience that meets the minimum qualifications.
