About the position

The Classified Cybersecurity Manager 2 at Northrop Grumman is responsible for leading a team of Information Systems Security Professionals (ISSOs/ISSMs) in managing the cyber operations of a classified enterprise network. This role combines the responsibilities of an Agile Product Owner and ITIL practices to ensure the security and integrity of IT systems. The manager will oversee cybersecurity policies, incident management, and team development while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain ITIL practices to manage IT services, including incident management, problem management, change management, and service level management.
  • Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect the organization's IT infrastructure and data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and penetration testing to identify and address potential threats.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the cybersecurity team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to ensure the organization remains protected against emerging threats.
  • Manage and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to minimize impact and ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training and awareness programs to educate employees on security best practices.
  • Supervise a team of Classified Cybersecurity Analysts and Information System Security Officers (ISSO).
  • Foster an environment for individual development, teamwork, effective performance management, open communication, financial management, and utilization.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining formal Assessment & Authorization of systems.
  • Assist in the implementation of required government policy (i.e. DAAPM, JSIG, ICD-503).
  • Ensure the team follows Northrop Grumman and Cyber ISS organizations policies and procedures, ensuring all information is accurate and complete in support of those policies and procedures.
  • Support the formal Security Assessment process required by the company or government customer.
  • Effectively communicate with program management teams, the Enterprise Services Program Management Office Team, the Information Technology Organization, and Industrial Security.
  • Assist in the interview and selection process of new employees.

Requirements

  • Master's degree with 7 years of experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 9 years experience; OR Associate's degree with 11 years of experience; OR a High School diploma or equivalent and 13 years of experience is required.
  • Must have a current DoD 8570 IAM Level III security certification (examples: CISM, GSLC, CCISO, CISSP), or have the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Candidates must have a current DOD Secret security clearance (at a minimum).
  • Experience as an Agile Product Owner, or similar role.
  • Experience with cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL frameworks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, or similar STEM related discipline.
  • 8 years of ISSO/ISSM experience with RMF.
  • Prior leadership or management experience.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
  • Diverse classified information systems security / information assurance background.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience communicating with customer and program leadership.
