About the position

The Cleared Senior/Principal Intelligence & Counterintelligence Professional at Sandia National Laboratories plays a crucial role in safeguarding national security by detecting and disrupting foreign intelligence threats. This position involves working collaboratively with analytical and cyber teams to investigate potential security breaches, educate staff on foreign intelligence methodologies, and maintain relationships with various government entities to protect sensitive technologies and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and conduct investigations to determine if foreign adversaries are attempting to access sensitive technologies.
  • Provide briefings to educate the workforce about foreign intelligence methodologies.
  • Conduct travel briefings and debriefings for personnel traveling to foreign countries.
  • Provide host briefings and debriefings for workforce members in contact with foreign nationals.
  • Share expertise on geographical areas of interest to protect SNL resources from intelligence services.
  • Develop relationships with DOE headquarters, law enforcement, and intelligence agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related subject area plus 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience with a U.S. federal government agency.
  • Ten years of work experience in a sensitive, classified environment.
  • Investigative experience in the counterintelligence field, including collection and analysis of information.
  • Experience working with multi-agency programs involving local, state, and federal organizations.
  • Active DOE Q-level security clearance or equivalent with the ability to acquire and maintain an SCI clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of investigative skills including case documentation and interviewing techniques.
  • Experience in extracting and summarizing information from various sources.
  • Experience with cyber threats and investigations.
  • Familiarity with advanced persistent threat indicators.
  • Computer skills in word processing, secure databases, and presentations.
  • Counterterrorism investigative experience.
