About the position

The Client Service Manager I (CSM I) at United Business Bank is responsible for overseeing the efficient and accurate performance of all operations functions within the branch. This includes managing teller functions, new account setups, and various background operations tasks. The CSM I ensures compliance with bank policies and procedures while actively promoting cross-selling of bank products and services. The role requires strong leadership to train staff and maintain high standards of client service.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the efficient and effective performance of all operations functions of the branch.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain expenses and losses as defined within the annual budget.
  • Encourage non-interest income whenever possible.
  • Actively cross-sell bank products and services.
  • Provide training and support to staff in their cross-selling efforts.
  • Assist Client Relationship Managers with outside calls to selected businesses and current clients when time permits.
  • Review management reports and daily callbacks.
  • Process insufficient funds and overdraft accounts.
  • Solve problems associated with item and data processing.
  • Assist Regional Branch Administration and other directors with duties and projects as requested.
  • Ensure clients are served promptly, courteously, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Train direct reports in their assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Report any and all losses to the Chief Operating Officer immediately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of banking experience.
  • Previous management experience.
  • Knowledge of Teller, New Account, and Operations procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of banking regulations and standard banking practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent client service skills.
  • Professional appearance, dress, and attitude.
  • Excellent math skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software package.
