About the position

The Client Success Manager (CSM) at Morgan Stanley is a pivotal role within the Client Services department, which provides stock plan administration services for clients of E*TRADE Corporate Services. This department is segmented into four distinct areas: Large, Mid, Emerging, and Private, each catering to corporations that either outsource their stock plan administration or maintain these responsibilities internally. The CSM is tasked with delivering comprehensive service and support to an assigned portfolio of clients, ensuring that all aspects of stock plan administration are managed effectively and efficiently. In this role, the CSM will utilize Equity Edge Online and various other tools to maintain accurate stock plan records, while also supporting all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance requirements associated with these plans. The CSM will be expected to proactively manage client relationships, acting as an advocate and partner to deliver high-quality stock plan administration services. This includes daily updates to Equity Edge and Stock Plans based on data received from clients, processing participant transactions, and ensuring timely settlement of all stock plan transactions such as ESPP purchases, sales, option exercises, and more. The CSM will also be responsible for conducting valuation reporting, managing Section 16 insider reporting, and executing client-specific custom processes. Monthly balancing of client plans and timely management of client inquiries and requests are also key responsibilities. The role requires coordination with various internal teams, including Operations, Account Management, and Product Development, to deliver industry-leading solutions for Equity Compensation Support Services. Candidates for this position should possess strong decision-making abilities, excellent relationship management skills, and the capacity to identify sales opportunities during client interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage an assigned base of Corporate Clients, acting as a Client advocate and partner.
  • Update Equity Edge and Stock Plans daily based on data updates from assigned Clients.
  • Ensure all participant stock plan transactions are processed and settled in a timely manner.
  • Conduct surveys and track Disqualifying Dispositions.
  • Perform Valuation Reporting and Section 16 Insider Reporting.
  • Manage client-specific custom processes, including custom reports and scripts.
  • Monthly balancing of Client plans.
  • Timely and professional management of Client inquiries and requests.
  • Coordinate with various teams to deliver solutions for Equity Compensation Support Services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in equity compensation administration.
  • 2 - 5 years of prior B2B experience.
  • Ability to manage a moderate level of assigned clients.
  • Knowledge of the brokerage industry.
  • Experience with global equity plans and complex plans such as restricted stock units/awards.
  • Project Management skills.
