About The Position

The Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor position at Kean University is a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track role within the Department of Physician Assistant Studies. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching clinical foundational courses, evaluating student progress, participating in scholarship, and engaging in curriculum development and student advisement. The role requires a commitment to teaching excellence and ongoing research or creative activities, with teaching assignments potentially occurring at various university locations and during evenings or weekends.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
  • Master's or Doctoral degree.
  • Teaching experience evidenced by lecturing or clinical teaching.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in the State of New Jersey.
  • Current NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Teach clinical foundational courses within the PASP curriculum.
  • Evaluate and monitor student progress.
  • Participate in scholarship and program assessment.
  • Advise students and maintain office hours.
  • Collaborate with core faculty and administrators.
  • Engage in curriculum development and student advisement.
