About the position

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position in the Division of Nuclear Medicine within the Department of Diagnostic Radiology. This role is available at the levels of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track. The successful candidate will join a team of 70 clinical radiologists and will be involved in both outpatient and inpatient settings, contributing to patient care, education, and research.

Responsibilities

  • Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Participation in the advancement and education of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
  • Be part of the on-call schedule.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Provide Nuclear Medicine consultation as requested.
  • Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
  • Participate in teaching activities related to Nuclear Medicine in various educational programs.
  • Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
  • Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree
  • Completion of Diagnostic Radiology Residency
  • Completion of Nuclear Medicine Fellowship
  • American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified or Board Eligible
  • Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certified or Board Eligible
  • Florida Medical License or Eligible
  • At least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine
  • Dual board certified (ABR and ABNM)

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience in a university faculty setting
  • Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics
