About the position

The Clinical Manager at The Village will oversee the daily operations of the mental health program, ensuring that both administrative and clinical support are provided effectively. This role includes clinical supervision of staff, facilitating department meetings, and contributing to the overall organizational life of the agency. The Clinical Manager will participate in various agency-wide task forces and committees, enhancing community linkages by representing The Village in local groups. The position requires onboarding new employees, mentoring existing staff, auditing operations, and understanding the program budget. Additionally, the Clinical Manager will review treatment plans and collaborate with both internal and external colleagues to ensure the highest quality of care for clients. The Clinical Manager is responsible for maintaining adequate clinical coverage and ensuring that the implementation of Results Based Accountability is integrated into daily operations. This includes participating in the hiring and performance management of staff, ensuring that training needs are met, and providing clinical on-call backup as necessary. The role also involves working closely with staff to develop strong treatment plans for clients and assisting with crisis intervention when needed. Collaboration with the Program Director is essential for monitoring budget performance and ensuring timely completion of billing and fiscal reports. In addition to these responsibilities, the Clinical Manager will track the completion of required documentation from clinical staff, ensuring compliance with agency policies and funding requirements. The role requires active participation in identifying opportunities for programmatic expansion and the completion of proposals, as well as planning and developing departmental procedures. The Clinical Manager will also represent The Village in network meetings and maintain a liaison role with funders, submitting reports as required. Continuous quality improvement is a key focus, with the Clinical Manager expected to engage in management training to enhance supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the mental health program.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision of staff.
  • Ensure adequate clinical coverage and participation in Results Based Accountability implementation.
  • Participate in hiring and performance management of staff.
  • Provide clinical on-call backup for program and case coverage as needed.
  • Assist staff in developing strong treatment plans for clients and provide crisis intervention as necessary.
  • Collaborate with Program Director to monitor budget performance and assist with billing and fiscal reports.
  • Track completion of required documentation from clinical staff and follow up as necessary.
  • Ensure program compliance with grant/funder requirements.
  • Collaborate with other Village programs to enhance service quality and coordination.

  • Represent The Village in network and collaborators meetings as needed.
  • Maintain liaison role with funders and submit required reports.
  • Ensure data-driven continuous quality improvement in the program.
  • Participate in management trainings to enhance supervisory skills.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or other licensed counseling degree.
  • State of CT license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist, PhD/PsyD).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience providing clinical services; minimum of 3 years as a clinical supervisor.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and able to multi-task effectively.
  • Proficient with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Records is required.
  • Culturally competent to serve a diverse client population; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Physically able to perform essential functions of the position.
