About the position

As a Clinical Project Manager at Q2 Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of clinical trials, working closely with clinical teams to enhance patient outcomes by expediting the introduction of new drugs to the market. Your responsibilities will encompass the entire project lifecycle, ensuring that clinical studies are executed in accordance with contractual obligations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and company policies. You will be expected to lead and manage various aspects of clinical project delivery, including planning, execution, and monitoring of clinical studies, while maintaining a focus on quality, speed, and cost-effectiveness. In this position, you will actively participate in bid defense presentations alongside the Business Development team, taking the lead on presentations for smaller, less complex regional studies. You will develop comprehensive study management plans in collaboration with the core project team and will be accountable for the successful execution of clinical studies as per the contract. Setting clear objectives for the project team based on the agreed contract and strategy will be a key part of your role. Collaboration is essential, as you will work with various functional groups within the organization to ensure milestones are met and to address any study-related issues or obstacles. You will monitor project progress against contractual obligations and proactively prepare and present project information to stakeholders. Additionally, you will manage risks and contingencies, leading problem-solving efforts to ensure project quality by identifying potential quality risks and implementing corrective and preventative action plans as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in bid defense presentations in partnership with Business Development and lead the presentation for smaller, less complex regional studies.
  • Develop integrated study management plans with the core project team.
  • Accountable for the execution of clinical studies per contract while optimizing speed, quality, and cost of delivery.
  • Set objectives of the core project team according to agreed upon contract, strategy, and approach.
  • Collaborate with other functional groups within the company to support milestone achievement and manage study issues and obstacles.
  • Monitor progress against contract and prepare/present project information proactively to stakeholders.
  • Manage risk and contingencies proactively and lead problem-solving and resolution efforts.
  • Achieve project quality by identifying quality risks and issues, responding to issues raised by project team members and planning/implementing appropriate corrective and preventative action plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Life sciences or related field.
  • 5 years of prior relevant experience including > 1 years project management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of job area, and broad knowledge of other related job areas, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials - Knowledge of clinical trial conduct, and skill in applying applicable clinical research regulatory requirements i.e. ICH GCP and relevant local laws, regulations and guidelines, towards clinical trial conduct.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work through others to deliver results to the appropriate quality and timeline metrics, monitoring/managing performance and providing feedback.
  • Planning, time management and prioritization skills. Ability to organize resources needed to accomplish tasks, set objectives and provide clear direction to others.
