About the position

The Clinical Specialist, Cell Salvage position at Haemonetics is a dynamic role that focuses on providing clinical application, education, and inservicing for cell salvage technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving the adoption of innovative medical devices. This role requires a strong customer service orientation and the ability to optimize the current device fleet and associated disposable usage. The Clinical Specialist will conduct on-site training for various healthcare professionals, including nursing, perfusion, and anesthesia staff, and will be accountable for the sales, profitability, and overall account management of cell salvage products. In addition to training, the Clinical Specialist will perform routine device inventory and engage with multiple call points within each account, including the Operating Room, Blood Bank, Lab, and Supply Chain. The role involves developing a comprehensive account analysis and relationship matrix to identify organic growth opportunities and assist the Account Manager in executing these strategies. The Clinical Specialist will also support the development of key customer relationships, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Speaker Bureau customers, and participate in product evaluations within their designated territory. This position does not have direct reports but requires the Clinical Specialist to support and develop the technical competencies of the sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong track record of success in sales or healthcare, with the ability to manage customer relationships effectively and develop strategic sales plans. Frequent travel, up to 75%, is expected in this role, making it essential for candidates to be adaptable and willing to engage with clients across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical application, education, and inservicing for cell salvage technologies.
  • Manage assigned cell salvage accounts, ensuring sales and profitability.
  • Provide strong customer service orientation and support.
  • Optimize current device fleet and associated disposable usage.
  • Expand product adoption and utilization within accounts.
  • Conduct on-site training for healthcare professionals.
  • Perform routine device inventory and management.
  • Engage with multiple call points including Operating Room, Blood Bank, Lab, and Supply Chain.
  • Develop a complete account analysis and relationship matrix document.
  • Identify and develop specific organic growth opportunities.
  • Assist Account Manager in executing organic growth strategies.
  • Support the development of key customer relationships, including KOLs and Speaker Bureau customers.
  • Participate in product evaluations within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in science/nursing or equivalent Operating Room experience (preferred).
  • 2-3 years of experience in sales, healthcare, or related fields (required).
  • Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple call points and manage customer relationships (preferred).
  • Strong strategic thinking and effective communication skills.
  • Highly driven personality with a focus on process and detail orientation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in military service or as a current medical or healthcare provider.
