Apple's Biophotonics group is seeking a hands-on clinical systems integration engineer to collaborate with an R&D team developing a new generation of bio-sensing technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating biomedical instruments and prototypes into clinical research studies involving human subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead for readying instruments and associated procedures for clinical studies
  • Prove-in test fixtures, prototypes and data collection software
  • Analyze data and communicate results to cross functional teams
  • Develop SOPs for data collection and train study operators
  • Understand clinical study use cases and identify study-specific requirements/workflows
  • Collaborate with HW and SW engineers to test/troubleshoot prototypes in clinical setting
  • Collaborate with clinical team to maintain instruments throughout study execution

Requirements

  • BS degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field
  • Hands-on experience setting up and using biomedical instruments
  • Experience analyzing biomedical data
  • Experience with data analysis in Python or Matlab

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years experience with human subjects research
  • Demonstrated ability to bring up and troubleshoot instrument prototypes
  • Good understanding of biomedical/physiological signals
  • Detail-oriented and organized with excellent interpersonal skills
