Fast Pace Health is seeking a highly-skilled and experienced Clinical Tech to join our growing team. In this position, you will provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere, responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions, and ensuring outstanding patient service. You will be expected to adhere to all policies and procedures of the company, comply with Federal and State regulations, and maintain a respectful culture of confidentiality. The Clinical Tech role involves preparing exam and treatment rooms, triaging patients, observing and charting patient conditions, assisting with lab testing and phlebotomy, and ensuring accurate completion of patient charts. You will also assist providers in preparing for minor procedures and physicals, arrange referrals to specialists, and perform various administrative duties such as checking in patients and verifying insurance eligibility. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in community events and outreach programs, fostering a sense of family within our community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant.
  • Maintain a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere for patients.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient conditions or responses to treatment.
  • Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient intake.
  • Triage patients by checking vitals, performing blood draws, and giving injections.
  • Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in their conditions, and taking necessary actions.
  • Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
  • Assist providers in preparing for minor procedures and physicals.
  • Ensure accurate completion of patient charts in a timely manner and forward charts as appropriate.
  • Arrange referrals to specialists and obtain pre-authorizations when directed by the Provider.
  • Perform federal and non-federal DOT, BAT, and Drug Screen exams.
  • Maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees.
  • Assist with clerical work such as checking in patients and obtaining demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and relay relevant information on payment policies and billing/collection processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent with a current CPR license and at least 1 year of experience as a certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic preferred in a clinic setting, preferably urgent care.
  • Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with a current CPR license and either 4 years' experience in a relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Clinical Tech role or 6 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Certified MA, EMT, or Paramedic with a current CPR license and either 6 years' experience in a relevant role and 2 years of Fast Pace experience in Clinical Tech role or 8 years' experience in a relevant role.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant school strongly preferred. License must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency.
  • TB and IV Certification required to be obtained within 60 days of employment and maintained during employment if applicable in your state.
