The Clinical Training & EHR Support Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the Portfolio Electronic Health Record (EHR) training for the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS). This position operates under general administrative direction and is responsible for providing direct technical support to clinical and operational end users of the electronic health record system. The analyst will deliver high-level front-line customer service, ensuring that interactions with staff are conducted in a professional manner. This includes rounding on units, answering support calls from various departments, and addressing hardware, software, and workflow inquiries. Key activities of this role involve tracking and documenting user requests, engaging appropriate site, corporate, and client resources to support operations, and ensuring the timely closure of support requests. The analyst will also assist in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing employee competence in the use of computer software and systems utilized by both clinical and non-clinical staff throughout UMMS. Accountability for the quality of informatics training and support services delivered is a significant aspect of this role. The analyst will coordinate with IS&T application training teams and contribute to the design and maintenance of systems that support multidisciplinary team functioning and continuity of services within UMMS Hospitals and the Medical System. Additionally, the Clinical Training & EHR Support Analyst may manage small to medium projects or specific aspects of projects and initiatives related to training and support for clinical or business applications in the healthcare environment.
