In this role, you will serve as the technical administrator for hardware, operating systems, and network management. You will plan and coordinate the installation, configuration, and testing of hardware and software components, which may involve central or departmental computer systems and networks, including web systems administration.

  • Provide leadership in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques, including mass application movements into the cloud.
  • Design cloud environments focusing on Azure and AWS and demonstrate technical cloud architectural knowledge.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Data Platform, DevOps, and Integration Teams to ensure cloud adoption follows standard best practices.
  • Evaluate the offerings of cloud service providers (CSPs) such as AWS, Azure, selecting services that best suit the organization's needs.
  • Implement security controls into every aspect of the architecture, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network security, and compliance controls.
  • Understands and can articulate the technical merits and value of cloud computing.
  • Thorough understanding of infrastructure management including Active Directory, Group Policies, Hypervisor platforms, remote application deployment, and incident management.
  • Technical understanding of both wired and wireless networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, Ethernet/802.3, and Wireless/802.11.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, network, data, and applications) to deliver end-to-end cloud infrastructure, architectures, and designs.
  • Some knowledge of clinical systems such as patient registration, patient accounting, EMRs, or electronic medication.
  • Proficiency in networking: TCP/IP, IP addresses, Layer 3, Layer 4, DNS.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Must carry a pager/phone and provide on-call support for IT related issues.
  • Must be willing and able to work occasional weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Knowledge of operating system internals, file systems, functions of hardware components, and how hardware and software components work together to form a computer system.
  • Knowledge of additional cloud technologies such as GCP, VMware, API Management, and Identity Management.
  • Extensive understanding of the full Microsoft 365 Suite.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to independently solve technical issues.
  • 7 years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect.
  • Working knowledge of application virtualization and user experience/profile abstraction.
  • Working knowledge of Thin client and other terminal related technologies.
  • Working knowledge of Citrix related technologies.
  • Microsoft Azure Certification (Associate or Expert) Security + or CISSP.
  • MCSE Certification.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience in enterprise applications, solutions, and data center infrastructures.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with emphasis on information systems, business administration, or healthcare related field with course work in systems analysis and development.
  • Azure/AWS Solution Architect certification (AZ-305, SAA-C03).
  • 10+ years of experience as an IT Infrastructure Architect, focusing on AWS and Azure clouds, servers, storage, and networking.
