About the position

As a Cloud Data & Analytics Strategy Senior Associate at PwC, you will play a pivotal role in helping organizations leverage data analytics to drive business results. This position focuses on aligning client data strategies with their overarching business strategies, ensuring that clients can effectively choose platforms, define their data needs, and migrate to modern cloud data environments. You will work with leading cloud providers such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Snowflake, Databricks, and Teradata to facilitate this transition. In this role, you will be part of a team of problem solvers, tackling complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include using feedback and reflection to develop self-awareness and personal strengths, delegating tasks to provide coaching opportunities, and demonstrating critical thinking to bring order to unstructured problems. You will also be expected to review your work and that of others for quality and accuracy, while effectively communicating with clients and team members to build strong relationships. Upholding the firm's code of ethics and business conduct is paramount in this position. To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing data-driven strategies that optimize decision-making and drive business growth. You will be responsible for defining data management and governance strategies, conducting regular data strategy refreshes, and managing the overall success of data strategy programs. Your understanding of modern cloud data architectures and engineering will be crucial, as will your ability to implement cloud data architecture and integration patterns. Additionally, familiarity with data warehousing concepts, big data engineering, and advanced analytics solutions will be essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
  • Certification in one of the following cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred.
  • Expertise in developing and implementing data or analytics-driven strategies.
  • Experience in defining data management and governance strategies.
  • Ability to conduct data strategy refreshes and manage data strategy program success.
  • Understanding of modern cloud data architectures and engineering.
  • Experience with cloud data architecture and data integration patterns.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and big data engineering.
  • Proficiency in SQL and report generation using visualization tools.
  • Experience in designing and developing advanced analytics solutions and AI/ML models.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the P&C/L&A Insurance industry.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, cloud DevOps, and containers like Kubernetes/Docker.
  • Prior Big 4 or consulting experience in strategy through execution projects.
  • Ability to translate business and technology objectives into cloud solutions.
