About the position

The Cloud IAM Product Owner will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the Cloud IAM engineering and development team delivers customer-focused product increments that create value for the organization. This position requires collaboration with other Product Owners and senior management to establish and adhere to a clear product vision. The Product Owner will be responsible for creating and maintaining a prioritized product backlog, managing delivery blockers, and continuously assessing customer feedback to improve the product and delivery process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving teams in the architecture, design, and delivery of scalable cloud identity and access management solutions within enterprise environments. This role necessitates working closely with business partners, risk management organizations, and various operations and infrastructure teams. Key responsibilities include partnering with management to support the delivery of a product vision, creating and maintaining a product backlog, and continuously re-prioritizing user stories to maximize customer value. The Product Owner will collaborate with engineering pod owners, requestors, and release train engineers to scope and plan work for the IAM Engineering Pod. They will oversee user story design, development, and completion, ensuring that user stories meet the agreed-upon Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria. Continuous alignment with senior management on the product delivery roadmap, including defining Minimum Viable Products and release cadences, is essential. The successful candidate will also provide specialized product development support based on deep IAM domain expertise and Agile processes. They will keep abreast of emerging business trends and regulatory issues to recommend improvements in product, technical, functional, or operational areas. The role requires solving unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact, overseeing standards and controls that significantly affect financial and operational outcomes. As a brand ambassador for Infrastructure Security and the bank, the Product Owner will provide leadership in hiring, goal setting, staff development, performance management, and promoting teamwork. This position demands innovative thinking to develop new solutions and impacts the technical or functional direction of the enterprise function or business segment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with management to support the delivery of a product vision and create and maintain a product backlog.
  • Continuously re-prioritize user stories that provide the most customer value in delivering against the vision.
  • Collaborate with engineering pod owners, requestors, and release train engineers to identify, scope, and plan work for the IAM Engineering Pod.
  • Create a value-focused product backlog and ensure user stories are scoped and prioritized.
  • Provide oversight on user story design, development, and completion; accept/reject user stories based on the Definition of Done and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Align with senior management on the product delivery roadmap, defining Minimum Viable Products and release cadences.
  • Provide specialized product development support based on deep IAM domain expertise and Agile processes.
  • Keep current on emerging business trends and regulatory/risk issues to recommend improvements.
  • Advise on execution strategy and lead the development and deployment of functional programs or initiatives within infrastructure security.
  • Solve unique and ambiguous problems with broad impact, overseeing standards and controls with significant financial and operational impact.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Infrastructure Security and the bank, both internally and externally.
  • Provide people management leadership by hiring talent, setting goals, developing staff, and managing performance.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Product Owner or Agile related delivery experience.
  • Experience in Identity & Access Management domain in an architecture, engineering, or delivery capacity.
  • In-depth experience with cloud IAM technologies, including role management, IAM policy management, OIDC Federation, and managed identities.
  • Working knowledge of modern Authentication and Authorization protocols (SAML, OAuth, OIDC).
  • Working knowledge of Identity sync services like Entra ID Connect, Azure SCIM, and Provisioning.
  • Working knowledge of Secrets Management with products like Hashicorp Vault and Cyberark.
  • Experience with CICD framework and common DevOps tools and technologies for orchestration and automated configuration.
  • Agile related delivery experience with Cloud Certifications in Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Agile Framework certifications.
  • CISSP, CISM, or other security industry certifications.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification and project management experience.
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certifications or experience operating in scaled agile delivery.
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
