About the position

Consolidated Machine & Tool (CMT) is seeking a CMM Programmer for our Cinnaminson, NJ location. The CMM Programmer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and generating coordinate measuring machine (CMM) programs that are essential for inspecting and verifying production materials and components. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards and specifications. The position operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a competitive pay range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year, depending on experience. In this role, the CMM Programmer will perform programming of the CMM machine, ensuring that accurate programs are maintained on the server. The programmer will operate the CMM machine and maintain detailed instructions for the setup and inspection of parts. Additionally, the programmer will provide insights on programming changes and product calibration to facilitate process improvements. Analyzing and interpreting blueprints, models, evaluation sheets, manuals, and other materials will be a key responsibility to determine specifications, inspection, testing procedures, adjustments, and certification methods. The CMM Programmer will also collect and analyze inspection data, making necessary computations to determine inspection results and perform first article inspections. Clear and effective communication of inspection results, part status, updates, and specific instructions to team members is essential, as is participation in Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) activities. The role includes developing production process quality documentation and requirements to achieve customer reliability objectives using High QA software. A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by utilizing appropriate safety processes and systems is also a critical aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform programming of CMM Machine.
  • Maintain accurate programs on the server.

Requirements

  • Two-year associate degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in CNC Manufacturing Quality Control is required.
  • 2+ years' experience with Zeiss Calypso software is required.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 and quality standards is necessary.
  • Ability to conduct tests to ensure products and materials meet the established quality specifications is essential.
  • Adept at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality.
