About the position

Krando Metal Products, Inc. is seeking a full-time CNC Laser Operator to join their team in Broomall, PA. The role involves operating CNC laser cutting machinery, coordinating with project managers, and ensuring quality standards are met in the production process. The operator will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, interpreting technical drawings, and performing preventative maintenance on the machines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work between project manager and laser division.
• Load/unload material/job from machine.
• Operate CNC laser cutting machine.
• Study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
• Inspect completed work for quality standards and conformance requirements.
• Ensure production rates are met.
• Facilitate movement of jobs from laser division to the next level of production.
• Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep to the machine.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
• Basic computer skills necessary.
• Ability to read blueprints is a plus.
• Previous experience with CNC machinery, particularly laser cutting, is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift.

Nice-to-haves
