This position will be responsible for programming 2-axis and multi-axis Doosan Lathes using Fusion 360 or Mastercam software. This position will also be responsible for machine set up of Doosan Lynx LYC and LSYB multi-axis turning centers. Once set up, this individual will work with other team members to show them how to properly operate the machine and perform quality inspection. As a lead member of our Lathe Department, the CNC Lathe Programmer/Setup Lead will independently program and set up 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathe machines. This role will involve collaboration with the Quality Control department to produce in-process inspection documents and perform first article inspections of parts coming off new setups. The ideal candidate will have a complete understanding of how to read blueprints, including geometric tolerances, and will be responsible for setting up and operating automated bar feeder systems. Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, as well as maintenance knowledge and abilities for Doosan and Haas equipment, will be beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

• Independently program and setup 2-axis and multi-axis CNC lathe machines.
• Work with Quality Control department to produce in-process inspection documents.
• Perform 1st article inspection of parts coming off new set-up and teach operators how to inspect.
• Complete understanding of how to read blueprints, along with geometric tolerances.
• Setup and operate automated bar feeder systems.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, along with feeds and speeds.
• Maintenance knowledge and abilities helpful for Doosan and Haas equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in programming CNC Lathe machines.
• Proficient in programming using Fusion 360 or Mastercam software.
• Basic PC knowledge required (MS Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Ability to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objects.
• High school diploma required; college or trade school degree beneficial but not required.
• Mechanical inspection experience using bench top tooling and CMM helpful.
• Must have reliable source of transportation to arrive at work.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a security clearance.
