About The Position

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating various CNC machines to meet production goals while adhering to safety regulations and company standards. This role involves performing a range of machining operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment. The operator will work independently and as part of a team to produce high-quality components for steel bridge manufacturing.

Requirements

• Three months of CNC machine operations or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as a team member.
• Read and speak English.
• Experience in structural steel operations (preferred).
• High School Diploma (preferred).

• Experience in structural steel operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate various CNC machines including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and deburring.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor or trainer.
• Follow prescribed safety regulations and equipment tag-out procedures.
• Comply with Global Harmonized System (GHS), Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and hazardous waste labeling requirements.
• Execute proper spill response procedures.
• Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and in order.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Assist other employees in the performance of their duties as necessary.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor.
