About the position
LK Jordan is currently seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team in East San Antonio. This position offers a competitive pay range of up to $40 per hour, depending on experience, and operates on a Monday to Friday schedule. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and assisting machine operators in the setup of various machines, including mills, lathes, mill turns, and other required equipment. In this role, you will review blueprints, drawings, specifications, or sample parts to determine the dimensions and tolerances of parts or products, as well as the sequence of operations and setup operations. You will be tasked with setting the speeds and feeds of machines and editing G & M code from the CNC controller. The position requires programming and machining complex and high-tolerance components, designing fixtures and tooling for complex machining operations, and calculating and setting controls to regulate various machine factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut. Additionally, you will serve as a backup for machinists and perform machinist work when needed, ensuring the most economical and efficient processes are used to manufacture parts. You will verify the conformance of finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and provide shop documentation to aid in the setup of machines. Maintaining a clean and orderly work area and complying with all company policies, rules, guidelines, and behavior expectations are also essential aspects of this role. Other duties may be assigned by the company as necessary.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Strong skills using CAM software (Siemens NX is a plus).
- Skilled in making N/C programs for 3 & 4 axis mills, lathes with live tooling, and mill turn.
- Experience with machines including Haas vf2, Doosan Mx2100st, Doosan Mx2600st, and Doosan Lynx.
- Skilled in the use of measuring tools and equipment (micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, thread gauges, plug gauges, air gauges, and optical comparator).
- Proficient in computer skills: Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Word.
- Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
