The CNC Machinist/Programmer will perform quality assurance tests to ensure that products meet design specifications and support AS9100 and ISO requirements for quality policy and procedures. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and resolving machine-related issues as they arise, ensuring that machine parts are produced to hold tolerances as per blueprint or solid modeling specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Read technical drawings and set up the machines in accordance with specified blueprints
  • Develop programs for CNC machines in an organized, methodical, cost-effective manner
  • Commit to plant safety procedures and work with safety committee team members
  • Perform quality assurance tests to ensure products meet design specifications
  • Support AS9100 & ISO requirements for quality policy and procedures
  • Adjust machine cutting paths or settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems with machines as they arise
  • Machine parts to hold tolerances per blueprint or solid modeling specifications

Requirements

  • 3+ years' machining experience
  • Able to program via manual, conversational or CAM software
  • GD&T knowledge preferred
  • Willing to work overtime as required
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge of MasterCam is preferred
