The CNC Machinist Programmer at Linear Industries LTD is responsible for producing high-quality machined parts through the programming, setup, and operation of CNC machines. This role requires a deep understanding of machining processes, quality standards, and safety regulations. The CNC Machinist Programmer will interpret work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to effectively plan machining operations. This includes understanding geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) to ensure precision in the manufacturing process. In this position, the CNC Machinist Programmer will program FADAL and DOOSAN CNC mills and lathes by entering detailed instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation, and calculating machining requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. The role also involves setting up the machines by installing and adjusting various components such as chucks, tools, and attachments, as well as loading stock into the feed mechanism. Quality assurance is a critical aspect of this role, as the CNC Machinist Programmer must verify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts, ensuring adherence to international standards. The position also requires maintaining equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and documenting production and quality logs to maintain continuity among work shifts.
