In this role, the employee will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines, including mills and lathes, to perform various machining operations. Key duties include identifying, selecting, and installing the proper tooling for the operations being performed, understanding applicable quality systems, and performing necessary quality inspections. The employee must adhere to all Waukesha Bearings policies and procedures and apply principles of Lean Manufacturing to reduce setup times and improve productivity. Additionally, the employee will be required to set up all necessary measuring equipment and routinely check the calibration of the equipment while measuring. Prior experience with precision inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges is essential, along with three to six months of related experience and/or training.
