The CNC Programmer position at Precinmac is a full-time, exempt role based in Tualatin, Oregon. This on-site position requires the individual to create CNC programs using Mastercam 2017 or higher for 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC milling machines, as well as programming Multi Axis Lathe programs using Esprit SolidMill & SolidTurn. The primary focus of this role is to manufacture components and job-specific fixturing, which involves creating setup documentation, tooling documentation, and providing in-process support. The CNC Programmer will work under limited supervision and is expected to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities. In this role, the CNC Programmer will utilize Mastercam and Esprit software to select appropriate cutting tools and determine speeds and feeds for various materials, including plastics, aluminum, steel, and titanium. The programmer will verify and simulate programs against CAD models to ensure accuracy and will analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications, and design data to determine the appropriate machine tool and work holding requirements. Additionally, the programmer will be responsible for planning, designing, and producing work holding fixtures, writing and modifying CNC programs to enhance efficiency, troubleshooting programs and processes, and focusing on continuous improvement initiatives. The work environment is a combination of a general office setting with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to operational noise in the manufacturing area. The position requires collaboration with other functional areas to implement and modify CNC programs as needed. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
