About the position

The CNC Programmer/Operator position involves the programming and operation of CNC Lathe and Mill production equipment, specifically utilizing Haas controllers and Mastercam software. The role requires the individual to set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring that new parts are programmed accurately according to provided prints. The programmer/operator will also be responsible for basic upkeep and corrections to existing programs, as well as providing solutions for fixturing and tooling improvements as needed. Additionally, the position includes assisting in the on-the-job training of department personnel, adhering to the company's Quality Management System, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ability to work overtime may be required, and the individual will be expected to perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Programming of CNC Lathe and Mill production equipment utilizing Haas controllers and Mastercam.
• Set up and operation of CNC machines.
• Programming of new parts per print.
• Basic upkeep and corrections to programs.
• Provide fixturing and tooling improvement solutions as needed.
• Assist in on-the-job training of department personnel.
• Adhere to company Quality Management System.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Ability to work overtime if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cutting tool applications and machining methods.
• Experience programming with Haas/Mastercam.
• Strong understanding of machining speeds and feeds.
• Ability to understand part prints and work instructions to determine specific part requirements.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience required.
