About the position

We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist to join a local manufacturing team in Ladson, South Carolina. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience programming CNC lathes and mills from scratch, with the ability to read blueprints and perform light troubleshooting on machines.

Responsibilities

• Creation and optimization of CNC programs on the CNC machine through G-code programming
• Set up and operate CNC machines to produce high quality parts in single piece and series
• Selection of tools and fixtures to meet the requirements of the production line
• Proven knowledge and skills in operating and programming CNC Machines
• Monitor manufacturing processes and react as necessary to maintain proper operation
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
• Provide input and ideas for process improvement and optimization
• Maintain accurate records of production data, such as part counts and cycle times
• Identify and troubleshoot problems that arise during the manufacturing process to ensure high quality production
• Creation of machining processes for lathes and mills
• Providing technical knowledge to support the acquisition of new machines
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience programming CNC lathes and mills from scratch
• Ability to read blueprints
• Experience in light troubleshooting on CNC machines
