The CNC Programmer plays a crucial role in supporting the machine shop by ensuring that products meet the specifications set by both internal and external customers. This position involves creating, maintaining, and revising new or existing machining programs, as well as developing additional necessary applications to enhance production efficiency. The CNC Programmer is responsible for resolving any issues related to machining processes and specific customer specifications or requirements, ensuring that all products are manufactured to the highest standards. In this role, the CNC Programmer will design fixtures and tooling, as well as program CNC Lathes and CNC Mills to create products that adhere to required Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications. The ability to read and interpret client orders and designs is essential, as this will guide the programming process. The position requires a strong understanding of machining technology and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively in a practical setting. The CNC Programmer will also be expected to collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure that production goals are met and that any challenges are addressed promptly.
