About the position
The Coach for MS Track at Mansfeld Middle Magnet School is responsible for promoting sportsmanship and fostering good character among student athletes. This role involves ensuring the safety and welfare of all participants, supervising students during practices, locker room activities, and transportation, and maintaining positive relationships with players, parents, and officials. The position is temporary and will run from March to May during the 2024-2025 school year.
Responsibilities
- Promote sportsmanship and good character in student athletes.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of all participants.
- Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, and during transportation.
- Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in interactions with players, parents, and officials.
Requirements
- NFHS Concussion certificate from nfhslearn.com
- Current CPR with AED certification (online certificates not accepted)
- Current First Aid certification (online certificates not accepted)
- NFHS Sportsmanship Certificate from nfhslearn.com
- Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training (True North Logic course # 15131)
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Availability to work on Saturdays as needed.
Nice-to-haves
- Blood borne pathogen training (to be completed after hire)
- Proof of immunity to rubeola and rubella, or proof of MMR immunization.
