About the position

The Coating Machine Operator plays a crucial role in the manufacturing team by ensuring high-quality coatings are applied to flat films, adhering to customer specifications. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor coating machines, including silicone coaters, to apply precise coatings to flat films.
  • Conduct quality checks on coated films for dimensional accuracy and coating continuity, making necessary adjustments.
  • Load materials, accurately weigh, and adjust feed mechanisms to optimize coating operations.
  • Start and manage metering pumps for consistent silicone flow and ensure smooth operation of auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, such as cleaning finish rollers and washing trays with solvents.
  • Record machine performance, malfunctions, and operational parameters following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Work with the Quality Assurance team to test raw materials and final products, ensuring they meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all housekeeping and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in operating and adjusting coating machinery.
  • Ability to monitor gauges and control panels to maintain production standards.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills to resolve minor operational issues.
  • Understanding of material handling and coating mechanics.
  • Previous experience with coating machinery or related equipment is preferred.
  • Ability to lift, load, and handle materials and stand for extended periods.
