About The Position

The Utility position at Silgan Dispensing involves performing material changeovers, setups, and maintaining material feeding units on injection molding machines. This role directly supports the Production Team to ensure the timely and cost-efficient production of high-quality plastic parts.

Requirements

• 1-3 years' experience in material handling in plastics manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to read and comprehend process set up instructions and company policies and procedures
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to use basic hand tools is required
• Good organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds frequently
• Ability to follow safe manufacturing practices
• Must be motivated to work with or without constant supervision in a group setting

Responsibilities

• Perform material and color changes on plastic injection molding machines
• Split molds and pull insulated runners from molds
• Set-up and adjust material mixing units
• Accurately document color usage and product completion in IQMS
• Maintain clean and organized material storage and work areas
• Transport pallets of finished goods to warehouse
• Assist production by providing breaks to Machine Operators as required
• Follow all Company processes and procedures to ensure a safe, productive work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned
