About the position

As an Area Manager at Clean Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our cleaning operations adhere to the highest standards of quality and professionalism. By managing and treating our cleaning staff with care and respect, you contribute to the success and reputation of our company while fostering a positive work environment for all team members. HOURS: 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM Monday-Friday, some weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Attend the 4:00 PM Managers meeting to discuss staffing, budgets, quality, and work orders.
  • Conduct thorough training sessions for new cleaners, site leads, and support technicians, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Ongoing management of the frontline cleaning staff, treating them like internal customers to ensure strong employee retention.
  • Provide necessary equipment promptly and hold the team accountable for their work, delivering both constructive and positive feedback as needed.
  • Maintain responsibility for cleaning quality at assigned accounts, ensuring cleanliness standards meet or exceed client expectations by following the task schedule (SOW) for each building.
  • Conduct weekly inspections and correct any deficiencies.
  • Conduct spot safety checks to identify and address unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, and improper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure safety data sheets are always in place and visible to employees and customers.
  • Ensure all assigned accounts receive timely and consistent service.
  • Deliver cleaning equipment, chemicals, and consumables to clients; buildings, ensuring adequate supplies are available.
  • Monitor and manage labor hours to ensure that each account is serviced within the allocated budget hours.
  • Prepare and submit nightly reports summarizing the day's activities, including employee issues, maintenance requirements, supply needs, quality concerns, and potential additional cleaning opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing cleaning operations or similar roles
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Knowledge of safety regulations & best practices in cleaning operations
