Datwyler is seeking a Commercial Development Manager to drive future growth in the US market. This role is crucial for analyzing market needs and transforming new business opportunities into sales. Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a network of key customer contacts
  • Implement commercial development initiatives to drive new business growth, including pricing and promotional tactics
  • Identify short-term and long-term business opportunities with key strategic targets in respective territories
  • Develop strategic plans to develop business for PPS products
  • Analyze and develop business opportunities in the US market
  • Call on potential new accounts, networking, discovering implicit needs, quoting business and cashing in
  • Visit relevant trade shows, propose trade show participation and organize trade show attendance
  • Network within relevant pharmaceutical organizations, R&D departments, equipment manufacturers, etc.
  • Analyze market trends, market reports, etc.
  • Propose product portfolio optimization, support new product launch campaigns, etc.
  • Track competition activities
  • Develop medium/long-term business development plan for the region and/or specific potential customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare sector in account management or business development
  • Experience in dealing with manufacturing and technical issues as well as R&D departments
  • Ability to define account strategies and implement them
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Solid relationship building skills
  • Ability to learn and operate Datwyler's CRM and ERP systems
  • Willingness to travel domestically and overseas at least 20% (up to 50%) of the time
