About the position

The Insurance - Commercial Line Account Manager position is a critical role within an independent agency located in North Dallas, TX. This position is designed for an experienced Senior Account Manager with a generalist background, tasked with managing a significant book of business that encompasses commercial accounts across various industries. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in fostering and maintaining relationships between the service team, clients, and insurance carriers, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the insurance process. In this role, the Account Manager will be responsible for coordinating annual marketing efforts and engaging in carrier negotiations to secure the best possible terms for clients. This includes providing detailed cost and coverage analyses to clients, answering policy and coverage questions, and consulting on mid-term policy changes. The Account Manager will also be responsible for providing monthly reporting of client values to carriers, coordinating and conducting claim review meetings for selected accounts, and visiting client sites to identify potential exposures and needs. Additionally, the Account Manager will review loss analysis and complete risk management analyses, working closely with producers to ensure that all necessary action steps are taken to close renewals. This includes gathering and researching risk management and insurance data for marketing purposes. The role requires a proactive approach to securing the renewal of existing business with assigned accounts and overseeing the quality of service provided to clients, ensuring that their needs are met effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • P&C License required
  • Extensive knowledge of a variety of insurance coverage products
  • Excellent knowledge of and effective negotiation skills with insurance carriers, brokers, wholesalers, and alternative risk markets
  • Ability to provide first-class service to assigned accounts including certificate issuance and returning phone calls
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in written form with clients, insurance company personnel, and other vendors and third parties
  • Knowledge of claims including participation in claim reviews
  • Risk Management background is desired
